Apple Oatmeal Crisp

Somehow we ended up with two bags of apples, and Abby’s favorite dessert is apple crisp. What a delicious coincidence! Even though our lovely fall weather is gone again, and we are back to high 80’s, apple crisp still sounded good.

  • About 6 large apples of your choice, chopped
  • Cinnamon (enough to coat your apples)
  • 2 T turbinado sugar
  • 1/8 C all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 C rolled oats
  • 1/2 C brown sugar
  • 4 T butter (1/2 stick), melted

Coat the apples cinnamon and the turbinado sugar. Pour into a baking dish. In a separate bowl, mix flour, oats, and brown sugar. Spoon this mixture on top of the apples. Drizzle the melted butter over the oatmeal topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
